Okoth Obado’s Most Fatal Mistakes in Sharon Otieno’s Murder Operation
If you are a personality of Okoth Obado’s caliber, you have a huge opportunity of laying thousands of girls seeking a fabulous slay-queen life-style. From emerging details, Governor Obado was either a new comer in the slay-queen business or he was just careless. This is because he ignored all basic rules and regulations a sponsor of his reputation would want to put in place before engagement.
Under the circumstances that are now public, no sponsor will go to bed with a slay-queen without a condom. The risk of pregnancy in a situation where the sponsor is married with children is too dangerous, not just because of the complications of such a pregnancy but because of inherent political ramifications. William Ruto did not kill Mama Abby
Now assume that the pregnancy Sharon used to attempt a blackmail was an “accident”. The biggest mistake would be to try and kill her. Even if he was to kill Sharon as a solution to the problem, why was he involving Michael Oyamo, his Personal Assistant, in the operation? The reader is told that at some point, Oyamo alighted from the vehicle that was ferrying Sharon to her murder scene but after the journalist escaped, were Sharon’s hired killers so dumb so as not to understand that the journalist would expose them? Caspal Obiero is a known Obado aide. Why did the governor involve him in the operation? Even as the case goes to court, it is clear to the man in the street that Sharon was killed by Obado’s closest workers.
Gigantic mistakes
The KCL Toyota Fielder that ferried Sharon to her murder scene and that was recovered by police belonged to Caspal Obiero’s wife. In known professional murders around the world, the crime car is usually burnt to destroy DNA evidence. Did Obado’s PA or the governor himself know the owner of the car that ferried Sharon to her murder scene? Was Obado briefed about the plan or did he just give orders then left everything to play itself?
Now we have a murder plan, the governor’s PA’s is on board, an Aide has been recruited and the car for the operation belongs to the Aide’s wife. Then, Jack Gombe, a total stranger is recruited to drive the car to the murder scene but he is not told anything about the operation. Although the ploy appears to be thickening, the plan is bogus if the murder was to be anonymous.
Then, as the car speeds towards the murder scene, the journalist jumps out of the moving car but the killers still proceed to the murder scene and commit the crime. We have a driver, ferrying an innocent girl to be killed but the driver has no clue! The stupidity could have ended there had Obado not made the next and probably mot stupid move of them all.
Sharon has now been murdered then the governor hires a taxi from Kisii to ferry him to the murder scene to view the body. In the meantime, the governor’s phone is live with locations switched on and in the company of another stranger in another strange taxi. In short, the governor is being ferried to confirm Sharon’s death but in reality, he is also transporting another witness to the murder scene at Kodera forest. When the body of Sharon is discovered, the taxi driver knows a lot of stuff based on his experience. How could Obado have been so dumb?
Life in prison or death sentence?
Surely, what was Obado going to do at the murder scene when he was supposed to have been attending an official function in Rwanda? The answer is the same.
This was a murder that was planned hurriedly. The killers were non-professionals who murdered Sharon on behalf of their boss hoping that at the level of Governor, Obado would be able to cover them up because as the County boss, the Migori police is in his pocket.
Immediately after the journalist escaped, the mission ought to have been aborted but it, most likely, proceeded because money may already have changed hands and the killers were under an obligation to ensure that Sharon is dead!
After all, they may have been confident that the Governor would be able to cover them up using his position “from above”. The strategy failed and everyone who was involved is in custody, either awaiting a life in prison or death by hanging. In death, Sharon may as well have her ultimate revenge.
